    Mo Maali the founder of Patina Cigars was inspired to begin his cigar maker journey by a challenge to create fantastic sticks that are revered by aficionados from all walks of life.  He never viewed cigars as just wrapper, binder and filler. Maali believes that a cigar is a "two-hour vacation, a cost-effective psychiatrist session, and a barrier-breaker".  He chose the name "Patina" meaning oxidation process, for the same reason physical objects with patina project quality, endurance, and strength.  He wanted to portray his passion for the cigar industry, through a metaphor.  Mo makes these delicious smokes in Esteli, Nicaragua, and they are truly the hidden gems of our industry, pick some up if you have a chance.
