    The Trinidad cigar brand was first introduced and produced in 1969 at the "El Laguito" factory in Havana, Cuba.  The brand was only used for diplomatic consumption and not offered to the commercial market until the 1990's.  Today in addition to it's Cuban cousin, the cigars offered here are produced in Santiago, Dominican Republic by Altadis U.S.A. a subsidiary of Imperial Tobacco, as well as by A.J. Fernandez at his Nicaraguan facilities.  The brand currently offers three Trinidad cigar lines: Trinidad Espiritu, Trinidad Santiago, and Trininad Espiritu No. 2.
